Wilderness Camping

Justin's job requires him to camp in the wilderness (Nevada-style) for a week at a time. He was working one week with a group of kids who had 48 hours of "Solo Time". This was a perfect opportunity for me to see him! So, I packed my car and drove to Las Vegas to meet Melinda (the wife of his co-worker he was working with). We packed up her Pathfinder, shoved our kids in the backseat and off we went.
The directions we were given were very very poor and I failed to find the Sheep Herding Range where he was camping, so we got lost. And by lost - I mean LOST! We drove around on the wrong mountain range for 3 hours, got trapped in a sand pit, discovered a golf course in the middle of NOWHERE, and listened to HSM/Hannah Montana music over and over before we stopped and used a phone to call for better directions.
We finally made it (4 hours later than we had planned)!!!
We camped without bathrooms and Justin made a "make-shift" potty for his girls out of empty water bottles :) - sorry, no pictures!

We had a great time playing games and spending time with our husbands. - We set up a card table in the middle of our tent and played games while Bracken slept!
We made smores and went hunting for scorpions!Justin and Paul (Melinda's hubby) made us a fire even though it was illegal :)

When it was time to leave, Ema sobbed and sobbed. This made Justin cry and it was so sweet to see how much they love each other~
It was an ADVENTURE in every sense of the word!
