Easter 2010

Easter weekend this year began with the Dixie State College Easter Egg Hunt. They blocked off a HUGE area for the hunt (you can see it behind the kids).  There were SO many eggs just laying on the ground.  Within 2 minutes of starting the "hunt" it was over.  My little Bracken only got one egg because he kept trying to find a gold one.  By the time he found a gold one and was ready to start just gathering eggs, they were gone.  Ema got quite the bag-full, but Bracken was too slow.

The next day we took the kids to an early morning egg hunt at our church.  Bracken was more successful here (partly because Justin was trailing right behind him pointing out eggs and helping him grab them quickly).  Swiftness is NOT my little boys strength.  Ema found the very last egg at the church hunt and was extremely proud of herself.

We spent that night dying Easter eggs and getting ready for the Easter bunny.

On Sunday morning when the kids woke up they had to find their Easter baskets.  We think that the Easter bunny had intended the PINK basket for Ema, but since Bracken found it first, he wouldn't give it up.  So Ema ended up with the GREEN one.  Bracken promised Ema that if he finds the pink one next year, he will give it to her.

Haha! That's so funny that Bracken wanted the pink one!

I had no idea the college did an easter egg hunt...that probably would have been better than the city one...which lasted all of maybe 30 seconds before everything was gone. Ahh well. Love the pictures, love the new post. Hope you're feeling good, and hope you had a great birthday.
