Death.

Here is a conversation I had with Bracken tonight:

Bracken: "Mom.  How many lives do we get?"
Me: "What?"
B: "You know, how many lives.  Like, how many times do we get to die?"
M: "Just one, honey."

Bracken pauses and looks distressed.

B:"WHAT?  You mean we only get to die one time??? So if someone is attacking us and blows us up and our 100% power gets all the way down to zero, that's it?"
M:"Yep".
B:"Wow. That's crazy."

Really?  Is it, Bracken?  Or is it crazy that you believe that you'll be automatically reinstated as your former self once you've been annihilated?  I think THAT is crazier...

Gotta love those video games and the way our kids are being prepared for REAL LIFE!
