Viva Las Vegas!

Our spur of the moment trip to Vegas was a success:



Our $24 Hotwire hotel was absolutely wonderful. The Riviera is on the North end of the strip across the street from Circus, Circus.
Bracken was walking into the elevator in the parking garage and spilled his sprite EVERYWHERE - including all over himself.
We couldn't get enough of our room:

We walked across the street and had dinner at the Garden Grille, which (unlike the name suggests) has really really great food. We were pleased.After dinner we found some trapeze artists performing in the middle of Circus, Circus.
The kids were fascinated with the performers and I captured this great pic:

In the morning we checked out early and drove to New York, New York so that Ema could ride the coaster with Justin - only to find out that she was 2" too short. (MY Ema, too short?)

Breakfast at Wendy's, M&M World, the Coca-Cola store and a little souvenir shopping finished up our morning and we headed home.

The M&M store was the highlight for most of the family.
We bought $15 worth of M&M's in 22 different colors


Bracken thought the NASCAR race car was "awesome", as I am sure you can tell from his face -
But I thought "heaven" was the Coke store where we drank Smart Watermelon soda from Costa Rica (and ended up throwing most of it out because it tasted a little too much like a Jolly-Rancher)

While walking through the gift shop we stumbled on a mini-adult gift store and had to shoo our kids through hoping they didn't see anything. Um, shouldn't they have warning signs?

It was so much fun to be able to pick up and leave for a spontaneous weekend trip to somewhere other than Preston, Idaho!
